Out with the Motley Crew from Sutton Velo yesterday despite the cold early start everyone made it to the start line on time, even those that lived closest. Two groups out into the Surrey countryside with some more new faces and some of the old dogs as well.
Great chats, a few brutal hills (too early in the season for me, but better for those who have managed to keep things turning over). We managed to get a good team going at a decent pace early on and there were some notable sprints from our friend Matt showing off his power to weight progress over the winter. Great to see everyone out and there were plenty of new toys from Christmas on display with much bragging about wattage gain and newfound speed and comfort.
The coffee stop was good and the two groups interchanged across their routes at various points. Great route again from the master route planner.

Highlights for me were always the descents, especially off the three climbs of the day, Newlands, the Downs, and Combe Lane. Happy cycling Ed
